Admin help for trades, based in Harrogate

The behind-the-scenes work, sorted, so you can get on with the job.

Tirenda is a small independent outfit based in Harrogate, working with electricians, plumbers, heating engineers and other local trades. I help sort out the stuff that piles up on the van dashboard and in the inbox: web enquiries that never get answered, quotes that take a week to go out, and invoices sat waiting to get paid. Usually it's a simpler way of working rather than yet another app to learn.

Who I work with

  • Electricians and electrical contractors
  • Plumbers and heating engineers
  • Builders, joiners and small trades
  • Owner-run local businesses

How I work

A few things worth knowing before we crack on.

Small, honest scope

One thing at a time, with a clear start and finish. Where ongoing upkeep makes sense, a small monthly retainer is fine. Nothing gets ripped out and replaced for the sake of it.

Written, not sold

You get a short, plain-English write-up of what I changed and why, so whoever's in the office (or the van) can pick it up later without me in the room.

Tools you already own

Where I can, I work with what you already have. Usually that's email, WhatsApp, a spreadsheet or two, and whatever you use to raise invoices. New tools only come into it if there's a real reason.

Your data stays yours

Nothing lives on my systems beyond what I actually need to do the work. Customer details, job info and anything else you share stays confidential.

What I help with

The paperwork that eats your evenings.

Most jobs start in one of the areas below. We agree what "better" actually looks like before I start, and I write everything down as I go so you're never stuck depending on me to keep it running.

01

Web lead responder

When someone fills in the contact form on your site asking about a job, they get a proper reply within five minutes, any hour of the day. Most enquiries go to whoever gets back first. This makes sure that's you, not the sparky down the road.
02

Enquiries and follow-up

A reliable way to catch jobs coming in from every direction — missed calls, texts, emails, Checkatrade, referrals — and get them answered the same day so the good ones don't quietly slip through.
03

Quotes and job tracking

Sensible quote templates and a simple way of tracking work, so a job can move from enquiry to quoted to booked to done without living inside your head or on a bit of paper in the van.
04

Invoicing and chasing

A steady weekly rhythm for sending invoices as soon as the job's finished and chasing the ones that go quiet. Fewer awkward "did you get my invoice?" texts, and less money sat waiting.

How an engagement runs

A simple way to get started, with no long contract to sign.

Phase 01

A proper conversation

A free call to get a feel for how you run things and the bits that are winding you up day to day, and to work out whether I'm actually the right person to help.

Phase 02

A small, defined piece of work

We pick one thing to sort out first. I put a fixed scope and price in writing, spell out exactly what I'm going to do, then get on with it around your jobs.

Phase 03

Handover in plain English

You get a short written guide covering what I changed, how it works, and how to tweak it later. If you want me to look at something else afterwards, we agree that as its own piece of work.

If any of this sounds familiar, let's talk.

First call's free and there's no obligation. If I don't think I can genuinely help, I'll say so, and where I can I'll point you towards someone who's a better fit.
